Asked a few people and got different answer. They dont hsow up when I virus scan. Just wondering. Here's the list

chart.vbs
excel.vbs
network.vbs
registry.vbs
shortcut.vbs
showvar.vbs
HCU.vbs
hcu.vbs

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Not all .vbs files are infectious and that's why your virus scanner doesn't pick up on the ones you have listed. What AV are you using and how up to date is it?

At first glance, vbs is a totally useless scripting language and the question is asked about why it is used. When you look at it, it's used as a macro language for almost all MS products, so it now becomes important.

I would not worry about the .vbs files you have there. If they were harmfull, they would have been removed.

None of those vbs files are infectious.

no problem. Haven't been here for a while. Like the site usually just read and soak in the info.

Those vbs files are sample scripts that come with windows.
