File and Print sharing

I'm running XP. How do I make sure that my file and print sharing is turned off? I think I remember a check box somewhere that you are supposed to uncheck????????

my computer, control panel, network, then should see file and print sharing.. click on it and see if they are unchecked. Im useing 98SE so XP might be different..

Close enough, but to fully explain...

For XP, right click on My Network Places> properties> Local area connection and then click on Change Settings of This Connection under Network Tasks. Uncheck file and print sharing. Voila!
