Problem, cannot connect to server ??

I got up this morning and FAH was just sitting there. It appears it sent my last WU but now at the bottom instead of saying working it says "news from Folding at home: welcome to ver 2.0". And when I open the Foldmonitor accross the face of it it says "ogfile_.txt not found or empty" ??? "check to see if client is logging properly"

Hi Easto,
I had a problem a few days ago that sounds similar. I recieved a dirrerent error message, but same basic results. In order to get rid of it and download another wu I had to delete everything to do with that packet. First shut down F@H, then find your F@H work folder. In mine there were 5 things to delete, xyz, current log, work data and 2 other packet logs. You'll know which ones because they'll all have your current work unit number preceding them such as 03 or 07. Be careful not to delete anything that has only one instance, those are packets that haven't yet been accepted by the server they're assigned to.
Once you have deleted those items simply restart F@H. It should automatically connect and download a new WU. In my case I had to do this process about 8 times before I quit getting error messages.

in my fahlog.txt it is saying "error getwork failed -1" sleeping for 5 minutes and then retrying...

Have you tried shutting down the program and reopening? maybe it will try to connect to a different server.

I've tried everything except uninstalling the prog and reinstalling. I'm going to give it another hour or so and then do that. I've checked my config and everything seems to look ok?


I;ve just noticed that the file core65 is not running in the background. And before it was. I've tried to start it but nothing.


I did uninstall and reinstall too.
