VBS Script to code and decode test?

Is it possible to write a .vbs (or .js) script that will decode text? For example, if I decided to make a code where the letters were used in reverse order -- for example A=Z and B=Y -- could I write a .vbs script that could simply replace the wrong letters with the right ones? Thanks.
