Hello..I've been attempting to tweak my ReceiveWindow size in the registry to give me better BB performance. However; I've run into a problem. I had previously went to the folder indicated here at speedguide and added a DefaultRcvWindow size to the parameter list. I then read about the Msvtcp fix after getting an unusal value in the TCP/IP analyzer. I downloaded the fix, Have seen an increase in downstream rates but I'm still getting the flawed value in the TCP/IP analyzer and now when I try to edit the registry I'm unable to add anything to the MSTCP folder and furthermore all the other strings of code that used to be there are now gone... ???boggle???

Does anyone know what's happened to my machine...lol and how I can get it back to being able to edit my registry?

Thx

Download Reg Cleaner, install and run from: here (http://www.jv16.org/)

It does not appear you know how to edit registry so do this:

Make sure you get newest version Download SG Optimizer to your desktop, select connection type at top, select optimal settings at bottom, click on apply changes at very bottom, Select adapter you are using and REBOOT
If you wish to enter custom TCP recieve window select custom settings at bottom, enter what you wish, click on apply changes at bottom and REBOOT.
If using Cablenuts adjuster too, you must first bring up adjuster, click on delete Cablenut Tweaks at bottom and reboot, then download and install optimizer.

Optimizer in my signature

This will enter correct values in registry:)

I already have registry cleaner..not really sure what you want me to do with that... I don't use a broadband optimizer tool like cablenuts or whatever. All my tweaks I've done by hand and with no complications...until now. I'm not sure why I can't view any of the parameters in my registry or why it won't let me add a new value to the folder now.

Reg Cleaner was to take out invalid entries, if you want to do it the hard way go to front page of SG and have at it:) :)

Well I downloaded TweakMASTER and used it to adjust values (bah! I'm lazy). :) Now I just have the nagging question of WHY Regedit won't allow me to add lines of code. all the options under new are greyed out. I'm sure it's something simple I'm doing wrong. Thx for the help
