Just started today. I got the following message:

rundli32.exeupdate.ur.address

This seems to only occur after I restart the computer and run IE for the first time. Once I close out IE it doesn't come back. Only the first time.

Reset the computer says the same thing when I get onto Internet Explorer. Checked on sites and haven't seen this message posted.

BTW I am running XP Pro.

Thought you guys might be able to help.

Thanks

UPDATE:

It is now doing it when I sign on to my DSL for the first time. I don't even have to have IE open to get the message.

Nevermind I found the problem. It was a damn Trojan virus. Got it removed and everything is okay.

Except my hompage won't load. It's Google and I can get to it no matter which way I try.

Any suggestions?

2 things I can think of off hand...

1. Possibly Google was added to Restricted Sites in IE Security Tab

2. Google may have been added to a HOSTS file which will block it.

Search your drive for a file called HOSTS, open it in Notepad and see if any reference to google is in there. Delete the line with reference to google and close/reopen IE

Try adding it again as your home page.

Just a couple of ideas, neither of which may be your problem but worth looking into.
