How do you take the password prompt out?

Howdy. This is not for me really. For my aunt. Supposedly at work a password prompt at the Windows start up is "bugging" them. The lady who used the computer before is gone and now they say they don't know the password. They also say that if they press Cancel it let's them access everything anyways. My initial response was ".............what's the big deal? push cancel and be about your business." But they want it gone. So my question is, how do you make the password prompt when Windows is starting up go away?

I didn't have one on my comp either until I installed my NIC for my DSL. But I just press Cancel.

There is no network or anything like that. And they say they can still access everything by pushing cancel, so I don't know.

Go into your Network Settings

Change logon type to "Windows Logon"
Done.
