Since InoculateIT isn't available anymore, I've been searching for a new Antivirus program to use and I'm starting to strongly consider Norton again. The reviews have been good for the latest version and Virus Bulletin has Symantec up there as one of the best.

I haven't used Norton in a long while but I think they may have a good antvirus here with 2002.

I was just wondering though, that which is recommend by you guys as the better...Norton Antivirus 2002 or Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition 7.6 (just the client)

Which is the better of the two for personal computers (ie. not a server). and what is the reasoning behind it.

I've read through previous posts about this and have heard people saying that Antivirus 2002 is the way to go, but also that CE 7.6 is the better.

Thanks for your input,

Hey Jug
I don't know about CE 7.6 (have not used it), however, when Windows XP came out, the only AV program that would work with the then new OS in a seamless manner, was NAV 2002. So I installed it on my XP OS and it has worked extremely well.
My only concern is the following:
-cost of updates after the year is over.
It really doesn't hog as much resources (others may differ) as in previous versions, not in XP at least.
I use only two (2) AV programs on my various machines.... AVG and NAV 2002.
The main reason I have stuck with these two are their functionality to tie into my email client and check both outgoing and incoming emails. However, if you happen to re-install your email client, you have to remember to manually go in to the email client and setup the hook to the AV program, or re-install the AV program.
I hope that helps

I'm a sucker...I went with InnoculateIT and their new paid proggie..MyeTrust at their special price for former users of InnoculateIt....$9.95. Thats it. $9.95 a year thereafter...thats almost free in my book and I love the proggie...nothing changed except a few enhancements.
