View Full Version : Question: Cox@Home's swap to Cox.net in New england.
I understand that they can't be provided via Excite anymore, but since they've switched, I've had horrible ping times, connection burps, and just plain dead service(from time to time, other two are consistant) I've called them 3 times, between the beginning of this month to yesterday, I've always got the same answer "Please Bare with us Sir", They don't say that they're doing anything to fix it, just to bare with them.. I was wondering if anyone had anymore information on the whole situation.. I've heard AT&T provides their service now, is this true?

Cox has their own network now, cox.net, which replaces the @home network.
It will take a little time to work all the bugs out of the network. Cox was planing on switching their customers over to their new network beginning this summer but with @home ceasing all operations at the end of this month they had to move everything up.
Cox has done an incredible amount of work to get the network up and running. What was suppose to be done in 6 months had to be done 6 weeks so there are bound to be problems.
All in all, Cox has done an excellent job so far considering what ATTBI and Comcast customers are going through. Just be thankful Cox didn't cut their speeds in half and raise the rates like the others did.
