There is nothing you can do with tweaking to improve your ping or change your ping?
I ask because yesterday I was looking in the tcp optimiser doing a few pings and it was telling me that I should set my mtu to 1500. I was thinking to myself that it was set. But I guess it wasn't, so I set it to 1500. In most of my favorite servers in Quake 3 I would almost always ping around 100 or a little less like 70 no matter what time of day. After I changed the mtu to 1500 most of them were pinging 100 or more up to 250.
So I deleted the mtu and still they were pining higher than before. So I am thinking I screwed something up. Tonight I checked the ping to the servers I like for Quake and the ping was a little lower, but I still feel like I messed it up. I can ping sites in the command prompt and get like 50-100. Please tell me I'm not losing my mind.
