I want to dual w2k and XP. I am running w2k now. I have made a new partition. I threw the xp disk in and I did not get an option to dual boot. Any help would be greatful!
hi Usualsuspect58,
U don't actually get an option to dual boot, what happens, u whack ya XP in, then u specify the partition in which it's going to be installed...as long as the win2k partition is still set to active u shouldn't have any problems.
So to re-cap, your win2k is on partition c:...which is the active partition, u then, when asked, "where do u want XP?"(that's not an actually quote...but i can't remeber what it says sorry but it's close enough and u know what i mean) nominate partition d: and then it will install, then when it reboots u'll have XP on top, and win2k below it on a black screen and a 30 sec count down, and thats it .
hope that's helped :D:D:D
