Please Help!!!

I was playing around with the screen resolution on my computer and like an idiot choose the highest res. Well needless to say my older monitor is unable to read that high res and now I see nothing. Just a monitor error message. Does anyone know how to change the resolution back through setup or safemode?

PS We tried getting in safemode but the resolution is locked , cant' change it.

The same thing happend to me a while back. I tried setting the Res higher than the monitor could handle. Find someone with another monitor that can handle the res, hook it up (you should get normal operation), set the res back down, hook up your old monitor.

I tried the safe mode thing too and it didn't work. Try the above.

You can boot into safe mode and change it back.

Hit the F8 key after the BIOS post, and before windows starts. Then choose "safe mode" from the options list, by using the arrow keys.

In safe mode you can set it to 16 colors only, but you need to hit the "apply" button and reboot, then in normal windows mode you can make the real changes agin.
