the thing is that he wants to know if fo example i am on windows right now and i want to put any file on linux partition can that be done as you were moving a file from C drive to D drive or not???

if i didnt make myself clear plase tell me and i ll try to explain it again

Linux can see Windows (FAT, FAT32, NTFS), but Windows can't see Linux (Ext 2, 3).

Yeah, Microsoft OSes are limited to being able to read and write to their own native filesystems, most UNIXes aren't..
