I used to share out our internet connection via a 98SE box. It seemed to assign IP addresses fine (I didn't really know what I was doing, all I knew was the internet connection sharing was working fine). Now I have a 2000pro box and I have to assign the IP address, subnet, default gateway etc on each client box to get the sharing to work ... seems the 2000pro box is not acting as a DHCP servier or ??? I would like to not have to assign the IP's manually. Thanks for any help you can give me.

it would actually be best to assign static IPs like 192.168.1.100 and 192.168.1.101, etc

use a subnet of 255.255.255.0 for all
