Hi guys, with XP, I realise that there are different accounts and each
person has a different profile. This allows me to have things like no
sounds, certain preferences, desktop tweaks etc.

If someone else logs on, then all their personal settings etc are loaded.

So my question is obviously each persons info is stored in a certain folder.
Im guessing documents and settings/username but then where?

I want to know so that when I format, I can just copy back the folder that
has these settings.

So all things like "my desktop prefs, folder view settings, security
settings, all the stuff Ive disabled, enabled etc" I have done so much that
im worried if I need to reformat, ill forget what i did. So yeah anyone know
which folder I should backup?

And subsequently, are their ANY problems that this could cause with the
registry etc?

Thanks in advance guys :)

Tuz!

Try the C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings folding
