help me please

i want to network a machine running me to a machine running xp and share my dsl(i have a static ip) how can i do this i know its a pain but please help i have a lincksys 10 100 to network them with

first you need to either create a network disk in XP or use the XP CD and install the networking components on the ME machines. The network will not work without doing this. To make a new network disk, go into my network places, and click on setup a home or small office network. In that wizard it should give you the option to create a network disk. You should be able to use the wizard to set everything up on the main computer. Once the host computer is setup you can go on to the second computer. The settings on that one should be similar to the ones on the host so let us know if you need any help setting either of these computer up.
