I was wondering...if someone was to overclock the video and motherboard bus speed, will this gives an opponent an advantage when playing on-line games?

Will there be an advantage if one has a P4 1.9 Ghz with GF3 Video card vs an Intel Celeron 533 MHz with Trident video card for on-line gaming?

Err....the advantage is already well in place on that scenario. Talk about tipping the scales. Overclocking can give you some extra FPS, which can make for some smoother gameplay, which yes it does affect the play on some weapons. The stronger computer can crank his resolution way up, and adjust his FOV, so he can see more to each side, therefore gaining some advantage. But 90% of the online performance play is from ping...which overclocking has no effect on. The Celeron, on a good DSL connection, could tromp the P4 on dial up.
