Help!

All of the sudden, my ping has gone to sh**. i still get my usual bandwith of 600k down. i have attbi cable, and live outa town of sacramento. before, when i went to play halflife, i would ping under 100, and it would be very stable. now i ping in msdos to the same server, it would still be a vey good ping. so next i head in the server. i see my ping has gone up 20 or 30ms at the lowest end, but wait it raises up in the 200 and 300. i dont have any router or anything, just connected directly to my cable modem. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thnkx

i live in grand rapids michigan and my pings where 30-40 in my fav tribes server now its up to 170-200 which i can get on a 56k modem this sucks... at night my ping is low though :( but i hate playing at night i wanna play during the day!

You're on a brand new network, one that is having teething problems. I'd give them a bit more time to get ATTBI smoothed out.
