Cable is wierd

Welcome to Speedguide.

Not much you can do for pings. Changing from USB to 10baseT won't have any significant effect.

Be sure you don't have any uploading client such as Kazaa loaded when you are gaming. They will kill the download speed and often the ping.

I've been on usb and a nic and my connection and pings have been the same. I will be getting a new pc in about a week and it will have a 3COM PCI 10/100 Ethernet card, so I will definitly see if pings improve any or not. I'm also getting switched over to a different network soon, so hopefully it will get better, because it cant get much worse. (besides going back to dial-up :( )
