This is the modem(ZyXEL DSL Modem Model Prestige 645) I received for my Earthlink DSL connection. Anybody have any feedback about this modem good/bad. I want to make sure this will work fine.
TIA,

The P645 is one of Zyxel's newest units. It's small, it's fast and it's reliable. As an ISP ourselves, we only sell Zyxel for our ADSL services. Great stuff, a fine unit for the money.
Hint: Earthlink calls these units a modem, but they are actually built for Earthlink on Zyxel's P645R router platform, they just have a slightly simplified configuration at Earthlink's request. If you get around to running multiple computers on a LAN, you can load the firmware for the P645R into this unit and have a fully functional router.

I still use the ZyXEL modem and now run it through a Linksys 4 port router for 2 boxes. A 98se box and an XP box which is my main box for me and everything I do and also runs as an ftp server too. No probs for me.
Thanks for the Hint info too macyh, I'll keep that for future ref.
