I was wondering if after the cd upgrade, if you can uninstall any of the software??? As you know, everyone on Cox has to do the cd upgrade to change their e-mail address and to get on the new network. Can I uninstall this cox-connects stuff and broad jump client information in my add and remove?? Has anyone done that??

thanks

steve

Sorry to tell you after the fact, but you do not need to install anything from the CD and probably shouldn't. I'd suggest DSLReports.com as a good source for removing the software from the CD.

You can uninstall all the Cox software with no problems. Be sure to manually delete the program folders as they will remain after the uninstall.

Also, if you can not remove the Support.com folder because of a "file in use" error then run msconfig in the command prompt and under the Startup tab look for any programs that load from the Support.com folder and disable them. After rebooting you should be able to remove the folder.
