Besides the 20% bandwidth tweak for the XP Packet Scheduler, you actually need to enable it in task scheduler, or the tweak does not work. Go to Run, type "sevices.msc" and enable QoS RSVP to be turned on automatically.;)

Lee if you just uninstall the QoS Packet Scheduler it does the same thing.:D
Go to C drive, click on Windows, then click on system 32, then RIGHT click on services (2 gears) and select shortcut to desktop:)

Actually mnosteele52 that is not the case. If you uniinstall it from your protocol, it is defaulted to 20% limit bandwidth. You need to install it, configure it to limit bandwidth of 0% and then set up in the proccess to have QoS RSVP to "Auto". I saw a difference when I did the last step. Have fun.
It's different in Home XP and Pro XP:)

This "tweaK" was debunked on Tech TV weeks ago. QoS only reserves 20% of your bandwidth if you are on a QoS enabled network. The internet is not one of those. For more info see here:

The key word: XP professional machine:)
