View Full Version : Comcast Transition tomorrow - question

I am using Windows XP - system is configured correctly (DHCP), ethernet to external RCA modem, and I am due to be changed over to comcast.net tomorrow (1.19.02).

I did not download @home software and was wondering if it is really necessary to download the new comcast software? If not, how do I re-configure my e-mail settings and do I have to change anything in connection settings?

Any advice of what to expect would be appreciated.

I searched Comcast on all forums - I think I've found the answers - do nothing and pray!

they are right. you do not have to do anything. you will lose your conneciton without any need for adjustment or software. that's the beauty of Broadband. It offers blazing fast disconnection speeds at over 50 times that of a 56K modem.

From what I have been reading:
AMEN!
