alright i have win XP (home) and one day i was doin something and then it asked me to put the XP cd in, so i did, then next thing i know my MP3's are now "VBScirpt Script File" and they won't play, i tryed to update windows XP and seached on yahoo. and MSN and i didnt get anywhere, if someone would help me change them back to MP's and get rid of .VBS i would really thank them.

Are you currently using an antivirus program and are your virus definition files up to date? I ask this because there was a virus awhile back that did just this.

You could try renaming those files manually. Just edit out the .vbs part of each file. Try one and see if it will play as an MP3.
I believe it is a virus that has overwritten the MP3's and renamed them. I also believe they won't work any longer as MP3's, even if renamed back to original name, but it's worth a try.
If you have Norton on your machine, and you've set it to protect the recycle bin, there is hope, but if not, I think your MP3's have been destroyed by a virus.
It always takes a loss like this to wake people up to using virus software, keeping it updated, and making backups of thier precious files.
