Howdy folks.

According to Cox, packages were due to start arriving today (til around the 9th) to transition Cox@Home users in Rhode Island to Cox's own network.

Their website seems to indicate that it's pretty straightforward (just change TCPIP and POP/SMTP settings). Not even sure if I really need to wait for the kit or should just go ahead and make the changes and see what happens. Worst case I can always revert back.

Was wondering if anyone had received their kit yet and how smooth the transition went.

Thanks.
Gary

Was just wondering if any Cox@Home users anywhere have started seeing their conversion kits yet.

Locally, the conversion of Cox@Work accounts over to their Business Internet service has been delayed. We were told to hold off until we got more info from them as to when to convert.

Perhaps whatever delay is slowing the conversion of the business side of things might be slowing transition for residential users as well.

I work for Cox @home in Tulsa, Okla. they have started us configuring the mail for the new servers on installs, but they are not working? We are being told they are still working out the bugs and getting the system ready. So if you change your settings now they might not work, just have to try it and see. I know down here the offical change over won't happen until the end of Jan.
