Sure you can by chipset fans...do a search on www.pricewatch.com
You can probalby get a free replacement from Abit since your board should still be under warranty.

ya buy a new one, see if the screws to teh fan need tightening or if teh heatsink is loose first.

You`ll probably find that the spindle on the fan is dry (of lubricant).
Try peeling back the little sticker (if there is one) on the back of the fan and removing the little circlip (like a small washer with a cut running from the inside to the outside) apply a small amount of light oil and re-assemble the lot.
You should find it a lot quieter now so job done:D :D
P.S. accept my apologies if I sound patronising, I try my best to explain everything in detail so as to avoid any mis-understandings Thanx.;)

I have friend with the same problem.....
Makes a hell of a noise......
I don't think he was going to worry about it unless it is
happening all the time.

Which one of these 3 fits best into my system ??? (http://www.thermaltake.com/ChipsetMenu.htm)
On my Abit 2 transitors (hope these are named so) are really near around the northbridge! I hope one of these Thermaltake fits on my mobo!!!

When fans make a lot of noise which goes away after a bit, the ball bearing (Thor: Kugellager) is not working as it should be. Best to replace it before it stops working completely and you fry your components, or do what Caveman suggested.
Cheers,
Ronald
