I'm Running windows Xp. I do have a 56k,and i know this is a Cable/Xdsl Forum but i had no where else to ask this. I can use this modem for about and hours time from when i start my computer... For the hour it works Perfect, After about an hour of gaming it goes really really bad, I get pings of 3000 or more non stop. The way i play games now is to have my other computer connect to the ISp using my phone line and i connect through Internet sharing. I have used 2 Us robotics on this computer and they do the same thing. 1 is Internal other is External. please help

I'm not a much of a DUN tech, but dial-up is as stable as a 6 foot jello mold in the wind. It wouldn't surprise me if your ISP's POP is loaded. Normally, I'd say call the ISP and complain (since there obviously something wrong), but with Dial-up, complain about busy signals. BTW, you do get busy signals right?

I had the same thing when I had dial-up I know it was a problem at the isp but they said the usual "No it can't be us must be on your end"
