Just got my new 1.9 P4 with XP Pro and I have SB Live value sound card. When I run the voice setup there is a little tick next to the +20 db gain and when that is ticked it causes my voice in the game to sound like crap. When its unticked my friends I play with say I sound really good.
The problem is that when I click ok from the voice setup and go back it that +20 db is ticked once again. I have to leave the voice setup screen open when I play in order to be heard.
I even had the 20 db unchecked in the mircrophone setting in my control panel under sounds. Anyone know how to get that +20 to stay unchecked in the voice setup so I don't need to have the voice setup window open all the time when I play?
