Well I am Trying to network may two computers. One is a Windows 98 SE and the other is Windows XP Home/Professional. I have the 2 NIC's in the 98 and I am probaly going to move them to the XP. Anyways, I was wondering how so then I can play games using both comp's. The internet works for both of them also. I tried the Direct fcable connection Wizard but it only picked up ports.

How do you connect to the internet? (modem or NIC)
If both machines are on the same internet connection, do you have file & print sharing enabled? If so, what is it bound to? How do the computers identify themselves to each other? Isn't it a shame about George Harrison? Are you using a hub? How are you currently wired?

Look in your network neighborhood. select TCP/IP and click properties. select bindings and uncheck file & printer sharing. Then click on the add button, select protocol> microsoft> NetBEUI.
This is the protocol the 2 PC's will use to share. Go to the identification tab and make sure there is a computer name. If your ISP hasn't assigned you one, you can name it whatever you want. Now repeat this with the other PC.
He died.
Now get a crossover cable to connect the 2 NICs. A crossover cable allow 2 computers to communicate with other network hardware such as a hub or switch.
