not only is it true, but they did it all on purpose.
They want to cut out the shareholders of @Home that are not affiliated with any of the MSOs AFTER the MSOs used the shareholders cash to build out the @Home network and used @Home as a test bed and as an excuse for their poor service.

They will now use all the knowledge they have gained to screw you the subscriber with upload AND DOWNLOAD caps as well as DHCP that actually functions dynamically so you will have a much harder time running your server in violation of the AUP and using a VPN for work

remember how no one from any of the cable companies ever worried about your lil personal FTP server before??? well now they are going to laugh at you and tell you you should have never had one in the first place...the reason they let it go before is because they wanted to stress things to get results to apply to new networks AND they had @Home to blame ALL the problems on even though they would NOT shut down subs that @Home repeatedly caught running servers

remember how all the issues you had and the money you lost running a business on @Home (******* your business will still fail cheap skate) well now instead of blaming it on @Home and saying sorry they will threaten you to cut you off and tell you you MUST move up to BUSINESS CLASS service and it will cost 3X as much

ALL YOU @HOME HATERS SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE you got what you wanted now lets see how you like what THEY GIVE YOU.................just a clue for you it will NOT be 2.5 down and 1.5 up with static IPs and servers allowed like some clowns think they will get..................your bill will be going up as well..................think of ALL the duplication NOCS for each MSO.....networks for each MSO...........browsers for each MSO and on and on....someone will pay for all this........YOU!!!!!!!!!!:D ;) :p   :p ;) :D

I'm already seeing it.. I'm on charter Pipeline now (no choice, no dsl, only aol and msn locally, and dialup would kill me)...well instead of that nice 4-6 mbit / 128kbit connection, i know enjoy 512kbit/128kbit, and it's laggy and goes out every few minutes. joy to amro, his cable is dead, and what for? the same 50 bucks a month.. that's hard earned money too.

Good luck to all of you on @home.
