@HOME's shareholders want more money than AT&T is willing to pay them. They think it is worth more. I hope they realize it isn't worth crap if it is shut down! AT&T has a backup circuit in place and can implement the new circuits immediately in most areas and within 2-3 weeks in all other areas of the USA.
@HOME's shareholders won't see any money if they don't negotiate with the cable companies. Even their attorney said the same thing in an interview today. The FCC is warning of perils if the system is shutdown. The judge indicated that just because they are free from the "burdonsome" contracts, that @HOME ant the cable companies should come to an agreement and provide the service to the 4-6 million subscribers.
UNBELIEVABLE..........If Las Vegas put odds on this. It would be 2 to 1 that @HOME wouldn't shut off the service!
The days of fast internet and the so-called INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY is about to undergo a major change!
Prepare for the worst and hope for the best!
As each cable company that had @home fires up their own managed network, the perceived value of @home goes down that much more...they're shooting themselves in the foot by forcing the shutdown...
