Well, caved in and got meself the ISB SOHO....should be arriving next week. Will be replacing my Netopia R910. Dunno why....just got bored with the Netopia...does everything exceptionally well, just want to get familiar with the Nexland, as I think I'll start using those for my clients from now on, over the Linksys...since the Nexlands web admin seems quite sharp and friendly, plus at 180 bucks once shipped and all, still quite a bargain for a soho class router. Seeing all the posts about them from Phantom and Black....got me drooling.

One option that looks cool,,, especially for you, is the remote WAN TFTP upgrades to the unit's firmware.

Just think you could update your clients firmware from home then send them the bill:p , got to like that.

Plus I think your clients will like the Nexland over the LINKY. lol,,, you would think I was in sales,, NOT!

My nexland turbo is doing pretty good. I haven't gotten a response back from their support about a few issues i have with it though.

Details at http://www.lboe.net/nexland

I did however upgrade to the "m" firmware and also hooked up a 56k external modem for backup. I tested it at it worked like a champ. Turned my dsl modem off and withing 30 seconds, my 56k modem was dialed out and connected. Turned the dsl modem back on and once it synced up, the 56k modem disconnected. I was impressed that it worked so smoothly. I did however make a request internally to jump start it. I don't know if it would have automatically connected without me doing anything. I still need to test that.

But so far it looks good. Plus, if you email 5 people off their web site you get 20% off. Hell of a deal. I am thinking about returning mine just so i could do that. hmmmmmm.... not sure if its worth the hassel though to save 80 bucks. :-)

Not yet. I was planning on doing that tonight. What problems did you have with the DMZ feature? I will try and duplicate it and see what I get.

When I dmzed a port it would not surf or anything (no data exchange at all)then I would reset router and sometimes it would fix it, also had issues opening ports and so on but it was a beta afterall, so I went back to the f firmware and all is good now;)
