Formats....

Why when I format, it tells me the drive has 10,008 megs, but megs free is 9986 or something. Its like Im missing ten megs. This is after a format /u. Just wondering if this is normal, or if I have something hiding on the drive. </paranoia>

When I dir it, it comes back as empty. So just wondering if this is supposed to be like this. kthx.

Don't worry about it. You'll alway lose a little because of the formating. It's natural. I'm sure someone else will jump in the the exact meaning/reason.

Ahh, ok. Well I knew that you lost a little, when formatting, but what I thought was weird is that it showed 10,000 and free was 9997 something. Ah well, that sounds right.
