I hope someone can help me with this.

I have a 3com internet router and I am running Win2k. I have no problems running counter strike when I connect directly to the modem but when I connect through the router I have problems finding the servers.

Does anyone know the ports to open up to play this game and or have resolved this issue another way it would be very helpful. I have had no luck as of yet finding anything and its getting to be a pain in the ass connecting and disconnecting my router [and the rest of my network] from the modem.

I started out with a Linksys Router, and had np. Now I have a Nexland Router, and have np.

So for both of these routers I didn't have to do anything to play CS. To be a game server I had to forward Ports to the rig running the Host game.

I have never had a 3com Router, but;;

If you go to your console in CS, can you CONNECT to a game server from there?
