Just a question as to see where my cable modem stands in relation to average download speeds as I think it is slow.
My downloads are in the 200-221 range. According to many posts on here that looks miserably slow. I have tweaked all the setting I believe and was wondering if the problem isn't with a cap at the ISP?
Just curious.

Any info will be appreciated.

Dale,

I'm fairly new to this forum myself, but you get GREAT responses and help! Perhaps you should use the IP/TCP Analayzer on the SpeedGuide main page (would provide link, but it will not open for me right now).

I would suggest you post those results(leaving out your IP address of course in the tweak section for help. Also provide your ISP providers name and location. Someone will most definetly let you know if there is a cap on the services.

Sorry I couldn't provide much help, but there is folks here who can, believe me, I've been helped with tweaks for cable connections and I'm loving every bit of it......Good Luck :D

Cable speeds can be up to 10mbit/10,000kbits per second for your downstream. Also can be as slow as 56K at times.
