Lets say you read an NFO file in a folder
and decides to delete that folder right after reading it
forgetting the open nfo-file, XP won't allow the folder to
be deleted.
I can't remember it was like this in win98!
Can this behavior be corrected or should i get used to it ?
Anyone ?

windows sees that you have a file open so it wont let u delete the folder, just close the file and then delete

That is selfevident
I just don't remember win98 ever complaining about this.
Maybe it's an issue with windows commander, don't know

I would label that a safeguard. I bet if you dig deep enough, you can find a registry hack that will elimate the 'problem.'

Actually this affects ANY open window that contains the file
that u want to delete. Very annoying!
Sometimes u have lots of programs running and it can be hard to
find the culprit.
Any registry gurus out there ??
