Which one is better for gaming Win XP Home or Win XP Pro? I have a Visiontek Geforce 2 MX 400 w/64mb and a 750 mhz duron with 192 mb of ram (this is my second computer by the way) So which one would be better?

For gaming, they are exactly the same. XP Professional offers these additions:

Remote desktop connection: administer another computer remotely

Sychronization: keeps offline documents on a network in syc

Encryption: prevents viewing of sensitive files on NTFS volumes

Local security policy: allows administrator to control users' access

Group accounts: allows users to belong to groups with different privileges

Advanced Installation Options: allows installation of XP across a network

Domain logons: allows connections to domain server

Unless you happen to have a domain server at home and have many computers, stick with XP Home.

Tip: get the OEM version of XP Home for around $109. You may have to buy a mouse or something with it, but with only a $10 difference in price, there's no need to buy the upgrade version.

Except for the differences listed above, the two versions are identical. There will be no difference in performance for gaming.

BoGGy: I assume you work for Microsoft, or you know someone who does. Of course you wouldn't be using that warez version of XP Corporate that's floating around...

Both should perform the same, but the Professional version might have more overhead by default. If that's the case, the Home Edition might do a little better.
