Last night while playing an online game. My PC went to a complete crawl and eventually came to a halt. My game dropped to he desktop, with an out of memory error message displayed on the desktop.

I've restarted the PC and went back to the game, only to discover I had a corrupted video display, a minor problem. I thought these 2 problems may have been game related as it is a fairly new game and there web site addresses these problems. Anyway after about 5 mins the machine started running slow again and locked up as it did above. Except this time on the desktop were 2 log files named Log001.enc and multi.log. I have 67 of each of these in directories everywhere on my PC.

This morning I purchased a copy of BlackIce and within 5 mins of installing it I got an HTTP port probe attack. Another one 30 minuets later I got a 2nd one from a different intruder.

I’m a Cable modem user and have notified my provider, he said to keep the Blackice up and to have a nice day. I’ve done that however, my question is this. Is there an app that can clean all these logs up and find the app that keeps creating these logs? Or should I just spend 6 hours reinstalling everything and getting my PC to play nice with all the daughter boards I’ve added?

I think your going to say start fresh. This time with the Blackice running. I really don’t wanna spend 6 hours redoing this process.

You would do well to scan with a trojan scanner and run your AV program as another check.
Try one of these.....
http://www.avnetwork.de/ants/ (sorry, not an english page)
http://www.agnitum.com/products/tauscan/ttour6.phtml
Both are good at their job.

This one I haven't looked at.

Good luck.
