i'm tryin to optimize my connection from my client computer to the LAN, i did get it to be quite fast at one point, but then now the max MTU dropped by about 50... can someone tell me why this keeps on happening??? how come the MTU changes so often??? is there a prog to auto adujst??

The MaxMTU is limited both by your Registry setting and the routers on the line.
You have to set your end to 1500 first, then test. When you get the largest number, add 28 to it and that should be your MaxMTU.
If you don't add 28 ( for headers ) and set your MTU to whatever the largest ICMP packet was, you will get a result 28 less each time you reboot.
