TCP options string = 020405b40103030201010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 256960
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 10278.4 kbps (1284.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 4111.36 kbps (513.92 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 49 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000
Have SG's web tweak and I am running Win XP Pro, AMD 1.4GHz, 256 DIMM RAM

Everything looks ok. Take a speed test and post the results. Also, check to see if you have any packet loss.

Your download speed : 413340 bps, or 413 kbps.
Browsers would show : about a 50.4 k/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 115323 bps, or 115 kbps.
Remember I am in the UK and I used http://chi.speakeasy.net/ to do my test. My connection is fastest my ISP does 512/128

Try finding a speed test in the UK here http://www.testmyspeed.com/internationalspeedtests.htm
The ones for the UK are at the bottom of the page.

When did you notice your speed had slowed down. Were you getting good speeds with the settings you have now?
Check to see if you have any packet loss.

Great ping times to the US from the UK :) Try changing the RWIN to 51100. It's a very fast value. Make sure to reboot. Check the SG Analyzer to be sure the changes took place then do a speed test to see if it helped.

Should I use any of the "CCS" tweaks you get with Cablenut4.08
earthmofo

You don't have to. The SG patch is the best overall tweak I think. You should save your current settings to a .css file however. If you decide to try tweaking the RWIN value and it doesn't work out then just load your custom .css file to revert back.

Going faster?
JamieLee2k

little but whenever I install patches it goes fast for a bit then slows down.
