Anyone know a good Photo Editing software that will play well w/ XP? I would like to get back into photo editing and I'd like a good all-around prog.
Any Suggestion?
Thanx !!

Paint Shop Pro is about the best around. I think the latest version is XP friendly.

Adobe Photoshop is the king, with a price to match (about $ 600.00 !!  ). But, depending what you really need to do, there are cheaper apps out there.

I've used Paint Shop Pro for a few years... it great. Straight forward, no system glitches, and sells for $ 100.00. Also includes Animation Shop.

I've also just downloaded and installed the new Adobe Photo Elements on a few PC's at a client's site. They're pretty big Photoshop users, but this app. seems to do about 98% of what PS 6.0 does, for $ 99.00 !! Supports all the same plug-ins, batch conversions, revision levels, and everything else, for a lot less. You can download the 30-day trial at Adobe's website for free- better have broadband though- it's something like 84mb!

Oh yes. Most software does not lose compatibility because of XP.
