OK... I admit it... this shows how old I REALLY am; I have never used AIM, and have no idea how to set it up.

But.... I have the Pres. of a client firm that wants me to set it up on his home PC, so he can chat with his daughter.

How do I set up the software (and where do I get it??) and what ports do I need to open on his firewall?

You shouldn't have to open any ports on his firewall.

Just download it, save the install file to his desktop and dbl click it once it's done d/ling. Once your done installing it sign on as a new user and he'll have to fill out the little bit of information and thats it.
