ATI Rage Fury Pro and Win2k

I am having trouble with my ATI Rage Fury Pro and win2k I can't seem to be able to play tfc half life. I have tried win98 fe and that didn't work to good now I am on Windows ME and the system keeps crashing. I really want to use Windows 2000 pro but I had trouble last time trying is there anything I could be doing wrong I installed the right drivers and everyting but my fps on tfc just suck. Any help would be thankful?

On my othe machine I have a Geforce 2 MX in there and it works great with win2k on it so I dont know what the problem is but any help?

I think ATI rage fury Pro are not good for gaming. I had soooo much trouble and also soooo much lag with this card on my old computer when i tried to play Diablo 2. Then I switched to a Voodoo 2 and it works wayyy better than rage fury. I also have DVD playback problem with this card, it locks my computer up. If anyone can provide me with information, i'll appriciate :)
btw, what mother board u running on? I got a Asus P5A and AMD-K6 500Mhz on that com.
