New User advice appreciated

hello peeps, I have an @home cable modem, I have not yet downloaded any patches nor have I begun to play with the registry or system.ini . I am wondering what steps I should take to increase my download and upload speeds based on the fact that I do have an @home modem. Is it even possible to increase my upload and download speed considerably or will it be hardly noticeable ? Thank you.

Once you get the cablenut adjuster loaded, take the test again and post results. Lets see what we can do to fix things.

Thank you both for your replies: the download seems about 50k faster after inf tweak, upload of course remains the same;)

Your upload shouldnt change at all, as you are probably maxing it out already. Only need worry about tweaking upload is when you have a higher end upload, which is near 640Kbits and beyond.
