How can I network my PC which is connected to a Cable Modem via phoneline?

Will I be able to network them using NIC's to connect to my PC through a hub?

What would be the general or good set up for this?

Thanks

u seem a little confused... Cable modems are connected by the tv chords(forgot name) DSL is connected via phone lines. Neways there are many ways u can network. Check out sites on CNET.com

the easiest thing to do is set up a lan using a router to conect all your computers and modem together linksys is a good entry level router all most plug and play.

I completely second wetnuts.

Get you a little linksys, connect the cable modem to it and then install some nics in your pcs and install the pcs to the router.

and if the other pcs belong to your roommates or kids, throttle all their bandwidth so they don't interrupt your online gaming. :p

are you on a telco return modem??

ie your down stream comes in on the coaxial cable and your upstream goes up the regular phone line like a dialup modem??

and it even makes a dialing sound correct??

if so does your modem have only 1 connection to your computer using an ethernet cable??

  :p ;) :D :o :( :)

Make it real easy:
Just get a router/plug in modem and computers.
