I just got cable installed here and he gave me the SB4100 motorola modem. Is it a pretty good stable/fast one?

Are there any hidden user interface menu's you can get to via IE by typing in some kind of internet ip address for the modem?

thanks

oh btw this is AT&T@Home service in Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas

Yes, very good modem. Same thing as the SB3100 except for the On/off button on front.

Heres a page for it: http://192.168.100.1

bRENT THERE GREAT MOD3MS.....!!!! Just one thing dont use the power button and the usb is really unstable and the drivers sometimes are impossible to load. But its a good reliable modem its max thruput is 27-29mb/sec on download and upload is 3-5.5mb/sec

thanks, thats awesome!

a lot more information on this modem then I could access on my RCA DOCSIS modem i was using before.... this one has a lot of stuff to look through, what i was looking for though was to see if it showed what my cap rate is connected at on the down signal and up signal, i didn't see that.....

Love the motorola modems...probably the best out of all the modems I have to deal with (RCA, Toshiba, Com21, Bestdata, & 3Com)...the diagnostics page is awesome for troubleshooting...

Well it depends on what they named the file config Ie bronze512/128 then he might see it but if they named it bronze then bronze is all he will see:)

Dallas/Fort Worth DOCSIS modems are capped at 10 Mb/sec down / 128 kb/sec up. If you get speeds above those, somebody screwed up....and God bless them!

Whats wrong with the power button?? And the usb drivers are the best that I have used, never had any problems with them. I guess some people have badluck and then some of us dont..:D

and btw brent, that is a really nice modem, my personal favorite.;)
