I want to host a web page or a few pages from my broadband connection. I Know of TZO where you can get them to redirect to your machine, but you have to add the .tzo to the end of your address.
Is there something else like .TZO that I could puchase software or usage of and get it to redirect to me without having to add an extension to the end of my address?
thx for the help

The only solution I know of is to find someone who will provide DNS service for you. The records in the DNS servers will need to be updated wverytime your IP changes, if ever.
How ill you get around the @Home block on port 80? Perhaps it is not in effect in Ft. Wayne.

you can still run a server, you just have to set the server to run on say port 81. So when someone goes to your webadress they will have to put a :81 at the end. That is the only way to get around the block.
So for example if your IP was 66.88.999.97
then if you ran a server from your computer you would type this in IE:
http://66.88.999.97:81
Here is a site that will allow you use their DNS services.
www.dyndns.org The site is a little confusion to go through at first but you will get it.
It allows you to pic a name and add an ending to it. For example if your net alias is maximum then you could get:
http://maximum.dyndns.org or http://maximum.dnsalias.com
but again if @home blocks port 80 then at the end of the adress someone would have to type in :81
so it would be http://maximum.dyndns.org:81
the dnsalias.com can be changed to a number of things. They have a list there.
Sign up for their dynamic service and if your IP changes then and update it from their webpage every time your IP changes.
Hope this help. :)
