Install Client for Microsoft Networks on both, install the NetBEUI protocol on both, if PC's can't seem to see each other via NetBIOS that is, and create a username/password that's constant on both machines. Last, enable file shares as you wish by right-clicking on the folder you wish to share, and add the username/password to the list of users allowed to use that share.

Well make sure you have the workgroup names the same. I found out the hard way. I have Linksys hub and I love it.

I am sharing a DSL connection between a ME and 98 machine. ME is the main machine and all is well with DSL; however, my sharing files and printers SUCKS! I can see the 98 machine and share files for about 30 secs and then Explorer locks up or gets really bogged down. I usually have to ctr-alt-del to close Explorer. I can not seem to share the printer either???

Any ideas?

Do you have two NIC's on your ME machine? If so, do you have a default gateway specified on the NIC that attaches to your network? If so, remove it. That'll likely fix your problem.
