Screen saver and montitor pwr down w/XP

Runnig XP and I am trying to set my monitor pwr setting in control panel with XP.
I usually have the screen saver set for 15min the monitor pwr down after 1/2 hour.

Nogo with XP. Well the screen saver kicks in but no pwr down.
I then tried to switch mont pwr down with screen saver.

I set mont pwr down for 15min and then screen saver for 30.

Well after 15 min the monitor powered down :) but then after a 1/2 hour the screen saver kicked in and teh monitor turned on with the screen saver.

I was running win98se with my first settings. scr saver 15min,mont pwr down 1/2. Worked good.

Any input on the XP setup??

why dont you just disable the demn.. screen saver & go for the monitor power down only ???

cuz ,its only reasnoble that right after the screen saver starts,
your monitor detacts the activity & power's up !!

you shuld think diferently whit xp i'm afraid,,
