this is the first time I've seen this error/problem when i try to login successfully into windows 2000 or windows xp, I log on, then it just logs me back off automatically giving me this error message:
"A problem is preventing windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error code: 0x80090006"
before the error
I installed windows 2000, then windows xp, then slackware linux, then i deleted all linux partitions, and installed windows me in place of that for an experiment, so now i have no bootloader to pick which os i want to boot up, so i boot up with a windows me bootdisk and set windows 2000 active instead of windows me, and while i was away from my computer, my friend typed in FDISK /mbr, and restarted the computer. then when he booted the computer up it showed the bootloader, and so i chose windows 2000 to bootup, it booted up and it gave me the login screen , so i tried logging in with adminstrator and it gave me that error.
after the error
I also tried using FIXMBR or FIXBOOT using the recovery console of windows 2000, and i also tried recovering the installation with the windows 2000 cd, but it did nothing, and still the same results, anyone know whats up with this error and how to fix the problem?
